Cross-border expansion

Our team was responsible for making it possible to expand the activities of an important North American real estate tech company in Brazil and France, strategic countries in the company’s global expansion plan.

The client has a complex and innovative business, which is already a challenge in terms of legal regulation. The company proposes transforming the traditional real state into a cloud-based business, powered by thousands of real estate agents and cutting-edge technology, following the trend of the new economy.

In addition to the challenge of the business itself, the client is managed by a publicly traded holding company, listed on NASDAC, which requires extra care with the security and solidity of all corporate operations, including the expansion accompanied by CHENUT.

What was expected of CHENUT

CHENUT’s main mission was to implement in Brazil and France the model used by the company in the United States, both in terms of the contracts used and the business model.

What we do

We work from the initial stages of structuring the operations – Brazil and France, to the expected implementation, including:

  • pointing out risks so that the client can correctly assess the alternatives for expanding the business.
  • developing the best strategies for implementing the operation within the range of risks understood by the client.
  • advice on the legislation applicable to the activities carried out by , taking into account the business environment in each country.
  • the implementation of the corporate structure chosen for each country. In practical terms, we get the business up and running!
  • Throughout the process, the participation of our multidisciplinary team was essential. They were able to understand the effects of the operation in various areas of the law – corporate, labor and tax, mainly – as well as making it possible to discuss the legislation of three different countries (Brazil, France and the USA).The services provided include:
    • drafting the articles of incorporation of subsidiaries.
    • Obtaining registrations and records from the regional professional councils, as well as trade registers from all the places where the company has established its activities, city halls and, in the case of Brazil, the Central Bank, are all essential for carrying out its activities locally.
    • adapting its contracts and global policies to Brazilian and French corporate, contractual, tax and data protection legislation, respectively.

    The transformation

Through our full-service and international structure, we fulfill the client’s desire to expand their business by setting up operations in Brazil and France.

Not only was the expansion successfully completed, but we were able to start operations in record time at both locations.
